Port Hope property tax bills are issued four times per year. Property tax dues dates for 2023 are as follows:
February 24, 2023 – Interim Levy First Installment
April 27, 2023 – Interim Levy Second Installment
June TBD – Final Levy First Installment
September TBD – Final Levy Second Installment

Property taxes in Port Hope can be paid in a variety of ways including: In-person, by mail or through on-line banking. E-billing is available for tax and water/wastewater accounts. To sign up for e-billing fill in the e-billing enrollment form. Your account number will be the 19-digit property tax roll nubmer that starts with 1423. Do not include the dashes when entering this number.
To mail your tax payment, send your cheque to:

NOTE: Include your property tax bill payment stub or write your roll number on your cheque. I recommend you do both.
Make the cheque out to “Municipality of Port Hope”.
To pay in person, you can place your payment in the drop-box mail slot at Town Hall 56 Queen Street, Port Hope Ontario.
Cheques should be made out to “Municipality of Port Hope”. Again, includ your property tax bill payment stub or write your roll number on your cheque.
